Overview

Serena B. Lee is an associate with Michaels & May, P.C. She represents insurers in complex mass tort, product liability, environmental and coverage disputes. Ms. Lee also has significant experience with disputes involving reinsurance and general commercial matters.

Prior to joining Michaels & May, P.C., Ms. Lee was an associate in the Insurance and Financial Services group in the Chicago office of Sidley Austin LLP. Ms. Lee’s practice focused on representing cedents in reinsurance disputes and advising clients regarding insurance regulatory matters.

Ms. Lee is committed to pro bono service and since 2007 has handled the post-conviction appeals for an inmate sitting on Alabama’s death row.

Education and Background

Ms. Lee graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. While at Florida, Ms. Lee was Executive Research Editor for the Florida Journal of International Law, a general member of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and a member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity.
