Overview
Michael J. McNaughton, an associate with Michaels & May, P.C., has extensive trial experience involving complex environmental coverage issues and mass tort and product liability. He has also participated in various trials on matters involving general commercial litigation, contract disputes, intellectual property and patent infringement. Mr. McNaughton also maintains interest in medical health law and biomedical ethics based on his prior involvement with Institutional Review Boards that implemented new and evolving patient care technologies. Prior to his legal career, Mr. McNaughton was a clinical research manager for immunosuppression therapies involving solid organ transplantation, as well as a researcher and co-author on various publications regarding population genetics.
Education and Background
Mr. McNaughton graduated from The University of Chicago in 1994, with a B.A. in Political Science and Departmental Honors. Mr. McNaughton obtained his law degree from Chicago-Kent School of Law in 2000. During this time, Mr. McNaughton was a Research Fellow with The Institute for Science, Law and Technology.
